PenPass is a new product soon to be released by Raymay in December 2007. The name reminds me of my son's diaper, no offense :) . At first I thought it was a product featuring "pen + compass" but it is kind of nonsense isn't it, not many people would carry a compass around which also act as a pen. Turned out the name actually means "Pen-type Compass".

Raymay PenPass

The main body is made of metal which makes the compass heavy enough to make a stable stroke with maximum diameter at 270mm. There are three colors available - Black, Lime Green and Pink. The cap has a clip and a strap hole (these days any pen-type thing has a strap hole on it). 2 lead refills are included in the package.

To me the most attractive one is black but of course I have no reason to own one coz ever since I got out of school I never actually needed a compass. The product pricing and features seems to be targeting university students though.

This "cross-over" reminds me of two ACME pens: a 4FP (4 function pen) called Stanley and a Scale Ruler Pen designed by Japanese architect Shigeru Ban.
