BLACK SHEEP WOLA!
Here you are loads of photos about Carrie
Chau's Black Sheep exhibition and merchandise. The launch event
is full of press and stars, crowd was waiting queuing up to enter the
exhibition.
The quality of the exhibition is top of the town really. Every detail from the genuine paintings to the settings and installations are really world class. Again, well done HomelessConcepts!
Each press or key customers were handed in a sticker, I finally sticked it on my Moleskine.
You see there are so many products came out from Carrie's drawing, from book cover, notebook, postcard, tote bag, leather card case, etc etc to the black sheep figures.
Around 4:30pm the exhibition started to open to the public and Carrie was ready for the signing event.
Fans and curious public gathered in front of the exhibition area waiting to come in.
Other than genuine paintings, you will find a lot of installations such as these rocking sheep chairs. I would love to get one for my son to play. If I can get one, I will try to paint it up for fun.
Along side with the huge 2.5m black sheep figure, there is this sheep installation "painted" by small people.
Among all paintings, these are the highlight of the event - the black sheep themselves.
I particularly like this one, it depicts a baby girl trying to learn from mom how to do housework.
Imagine all these paintings hanging on your walls. Look at them in different time will give you different meaning and emotions.
I also like the little black sheep playing with silhouette and hidden from the painting is perhaps a mama sheep. Carrie also painted papa goat and mama goat as her lateset artworks. These paintings are used as the cover of the free notebooks.

When I show my son this photo, he was really happy and the first thing he said as a 2.5 years old was "guitar" and I couldn't find the guitar in this photo, so I said "there is no guitar, where is it?" and he kept saying guitar and pointed me to see. Children do see things very fast and different from adults.
This is also one of my favorite paintings. No need to tell the story in details, pollution kills the rabbit.
Finally, salute to Carrie, Heyman and John and the rest of the team! Fantastic exhibition!
